The bad weather with rain and snow has also included the Lezha District. According to the official data of the Civil Protection, since yesterday evening the Lezhë and Kurbin Municipalities have been affected by high and medium intensity rains, but fortunately without creating problems.
While the Municipality of Mirdita is affected by the snowfall, the thickness of which reaches from 5 to 25 cm depending on the areas.
The presence of snow has created difficulties in the movement of vehicles on the national road Fan-Tuneli i Thirre segment as well as on the internal roads of the villages of Fan, Orosh and Selitë Administrative Units. It is also reported that there is a lack of electricity in the villages of Prosek, Trojez and Perlat Center as well as in the Administrative Unit of Rreshen, the village of Gziq.
The bad weather with strong wind has also caused problems in sea navigation in Shengjin. The Captain's Office of the Port has ordered the ban on the navigation of fishing vessels, as the waves reach up to 5 degrees. This decision will be in force until the improvement of the atmospheric conditions, while all the weather situations as a whole are being kept under constant monitoring by the Civil Defense sector in the three Municipalities of the Lezhë District.
