By order of SPAK, the acting mayor of Himara municipality, Jorgo Goro, was arrested today after being accused by the Special Prosecutor's Office of abusing his office by alienating two properties.
GJKKO has also ordered house arrest for three other officials, for the head of the cadastre, Bilbil Aliaj, the lawyer Vezir Gjikoka (executed) and Jerasimo Bashi, (not executed) Director of the Directorate of Land Protection and Management, Himarë Municipality. He has also ordered the measure of arrest and announced the search for Stavri Mëhilli, who has directly benefited from 5512 m2 of agricultural land.
The first episode for alienation of property from the state in favor of the private"
Specifically, according to SPAK, in the first case, Jorgo Goro falsified the documents and then registered 5512 m2 of state land in favor of private individuals. In the capacity of the mayor of Himara, Jorgo Goro, in cooperation with his subordinate, Jerasmo Bashin, at that time director of Land Protection and Management in the municipality of Himara, without making any verification based on the law, forwarded documents to the competent bodies completely falsified, making it possible to then register an area of 5512 m2 of agricultural land owned by the state, in favor of the private entity.
According to SPAK, this alienation was unfairly benefited by Stavri Mëhilli. Currently, this area of agricultural land is sequestered by GJKKO.
Episode two: Jorgo Goro transferred the agricultural land of 5080m to the state, where permission was then given for the construction of a tourist complex
According to the Special Prosecutor's Office, in the capacity of the mayor, Jorgo Goro, in cooperation with Jerasimo Bashi, director of Land Protection and Management in the municipality of Himarë, has actually moved an area of agricultural land of 5080 m2 to the ground, giving superimposed on it another property owned by the state.
"The citizen under investigation has exceeded all powers that the law recognizes, stating the existence of an overlap of immovable assets on the ground and then confirming a placement plan, which turns out to have served not only for the subsequent transactions between the subjects different but also for the development of the property, including here the equipment with a construction permit for a tourist complex in the name of a commercial company, which will be built on both of the surfaces in question which are bordering (10,592 m2). In these circumstances, Jorgo Goro and Jerasimo Bashi are suspected of committing the criminal offense of "Abuse of duty" in collaboration, provided for by article 248 and 25 of the Criminal Code, committed twice.'- informs SPAK.
