Neritan Sejamini: There can be no independent justice in a country where

The decision of the Special Prosecutor's Office not to lift the measure of house arrest against former Prime Minister Sali Berisha was part of the conversation on the show "The Unexposed" on MCN TV.

For the analyst Neritan Sejamini, the prosecution has not proven anything to charge Mr. Berisha and according to him justice is directly or indirectly playing politics.

" The situation we are in today proves one thing: there can be no independent justice in a country where politics is corrupt, where everything is captured and we claim that justice is an oasis.

Justice has the right to investigate anyone, including Mr. Berisha, the son-in-law, and anyone. But there is a problem. I still don't know what Mr. Berisha, what has this man done? And I don't know what he did, but the prosecution doesn't know that he didn't prove anything, so my question is: How can the prosecution arrest the leader of the opposition?

And moreover, because of the age and the fact that 15 years have passed since the crime was committed, this becomes even more absurd. And today we are in a justice, even if this investigation was started with the best intentions and honest motives, today it is directly or indirectly playing politics. What we have today is that politics is being influenced, at a time when even the prosecution has not proven anything and the prosecution itself does not have a concrete accusation.

Mr. Berisha is the leader of the opposition and the consequences of the prosecutor's decision are extraordinary ," said Sejamini.
