Tirana Police has announced security measures and traffic restrictions in the framework of the protest announced by the Democratic Party, which will take place tomorrow at 7:00 PM, on "Dëshmorët e Kombit" Boulevard, in front of the Prime Minister's Office building.
The police inform that the organizers of the rally have notified the authorities in accordance with the law "On Gatherings", while the police have drafted a plan of measures to guarantee order and the smooth conduct of the protest.
As part of these measures, there will be blockages and movement restrictions on several road segments in the capital, specifically:
-From 23:45 on May 7 until the end of the rally, traffic will be blocked and parking of vehicles will not be allowed on the "Martyrs of the Nation" boulevard, from "Ura e Dajti" to "Ismail Qemali" street.
-From 3:00 PM on May 8 until the end of the protest, vehicle traffic will be blocked on "Dëshmorët e Kombit" Boulevard, from the intersection near the Ministry of Interior to "Mother Teresa" Square, as well as on "Ukraine e Lirë", "Papa John Paul II" and "Ismail Qemali" streets.

Representatives of the political entity Democratic Party of Albania have notified the Tirana Police of the holding of a rally, on 08.05.2026, at 19:00, on the "Martyrs of the Nation" boulevard, in front of the Prime Minister's Office building.
Based on the law "On Gatherings", the Tirana Police has taken measures to ensure the smooth conduct of the gathering at the requested location and time frame. In implementation of these measures, today and tomorrow, movement will be restricted on several road axes/segments, specifically:
from 23:45 on 07.05.2026 until the end of the gathering, movement will be blocked and parking of vehicles will not be allowed on the "Dëshmorët e Kombit" boulevard, from the place called "Ura e Dajtit" to "Ismail Qemali" street;
from 15:00 on 08.05.2026 until the end of the gathering, there will be a blockage of vehicle movement on the "Dëshmorët e Kombit" boulevard, from the intersection near the Ministry of Interior to "Mother Teresa" square, as well as on the "Ukraine e Lirë", "Papa John Paul II" and "Ismail Qemali" streets.
Tirana Police appeals to the organizers of the rally to respect the deadline and the place where the rally will take place, and asks for citizens' understanding regarding the restriction of vehicle movement.
It also appeals to distance themselves if they are faced with illegal actions that violate public order and security.
