Journalist Lorenc Vangjeli stated that he had denounced the existence of encrypted platforms years ago.
He has shown that its owners are senior politicians, ministers, former ministers, members of the justice system and some of the biggest crime bosses.
He called the opposition's proposal for self-declaration of all politicians who have used Sky ECC unworkable and contrary to the constitution.
"It is a political proposal, but not a legal one. It tries, starting from the general climate, that they want to show the majority as the main and only bearer of it and that this proves its connection with crime.
It is something that was not illegal at the time it was used, it is a moral but not a criminal offense.
But even the idea that being the owner of such a device makes you guilty under a special law tries to create collective guilt, while guilt can only be individual. The tool seems wrong to me. Legally, it is unenforceable and contradicts the constitution and laws" , said Vangjeli for "Euronews Albania".
