Edi Rama's meeting with Tirana Municipality employees in Skanderbeg Square shows, according to Neritan Sejamini, that he has more power than anyone else.
Invited to Top Story, analyst Sejamini said that this meeting is like a final blow that Rama dealt to Erion Veliaj.
"We can discuss it as if Albania is a democracy and how much it has violated this system. The fact is that in Albania we do not have democracy, we do not have separation of powers, we have political power that emanates from the prime minister, this is known as vertical power, all power emanates from a single person. At the end of the day, we saw Rama take on this role publicly and one of the main messages he gave, besides the fact that I think the meeting was Veliaj's political funeral, was that the power was his ," he said.
Meanwhile, analyst Arjan Curri said that in this meeting, the detail that caught his eye was that most of the employees were wearing large sunglasses, even though there was no sun, and also with scarves covering their faces.
This, according to him, shows that they did not want to be there. Further in his analysis, Curri says that Rama's speech was 'like God speaking to the crowd' and that it was showing that 'the anti-God is SPAK who is taking the angels'.
" I want to go into a little detail, if you look at these images, you can see the sunglasses even though there was no sun. And the hood on the head. Some keep their heads down. Sunglasses are worn when there is no sun or to hide the face or at funerals. Look at how many people are dressed in black there. Now what was there. First, Rama tells them that if you want to gather, you don't have to go to SPAK, but I gathered them here ," said Curi.
