The brother of Barie Gjuni, the grandmother who kidnapped her 3-year-old grandson, has accused the 23-year-old bride Ile Gjuni, stating that she does everything for money. Speaking about the show "With an Open Heart", he said that it was all done for money.

He explained that the grandmother only took the grandson for some time, as he was sick and needed to continue his medication.
"It's not called kidnapping, because he took it and never gave it back. The sister just took him to continue the medicine after visiting the doctor, the child came out with a cold, sick. He took the medicines, took them to his mother and said 'the child has a cold, it's been 7 months, we visited him, here are the medicines, can you give them to him?' My sister bought the medicine herself, but the lady threw it down the drain. He said 'the child is not sick, there is no need for you to visit him'. For this reason, the sister was forced to take the child and she handed it over to the Durrës police with the medicines that she was taking every day.
