
GJKKO has found guilty Agim Loci, who is accused of electoral corruption, sentencing him to 1 year in prison, but due to the shortened trial and the criminal procedure code, he will perform 80 hours of work in the public interest, for 6 months.
We remind you that from SPAK's investigations, Agim Loci has been engaged in the campaign for the local elections of May 14, 2023, for the Vorë municipality, where the citizen with the initials AL, Agim Loci's daughter, was on the list of candidates for the Council Mayor, as part of the "Together We Win" coalition.
Loci has turned out to have offered the citizen with the initials AK money worth 10,000 lek, to influence his will, in order to vote for a certain political subject in the Elections for Local Government Bodies, on May 14, 2023.
"The Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime has submitted to the Court the request with the object: "Sending for trial case no. 105 of 2023, with defendant Agim Loci, accused of committing the criminal offense of "Active corruption in elections" , provided by article 328 of the Criminal Code".
The trial of this case took place with the rules of summary trial. At the end of the trial, the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime with a panel composed of judges Erjon Bani, Flojera Davidhi and Rudina Palloj, with decision No. 64, dated 28.10.2024 decided:
The guilty plea of the defendant Agim Sinan Loci, for the criminal offense of "Active corruption in elections", provided by Article 328 of the Criminal Code and his sentence of 1 (one) year imprisonment.
Pursuant to Article 406 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the defendant Agim Sinan Loci is reduced to 1/3 (one third) of the sentence given, being ultimately sentenced to 8 (eight) months of imprisonment.
Pursuant to Article 63 of the Criminal Code, the suspension of the prison sentence is ordered by forcing the defendant Agim Sinan Loci to perform 80 (eighty) hours of work in the public interest, for a period of time of 6 (six) months, during which time, the defendant is forced to keep in contact with the Probation Service, to determine the type of work that the defendant will perform, the place where the work will be performed and the days of the week when the work will be performed in the public interest.
Procedural costs prepaid by the state and court costs are charged to the defendant.
Against this decision, an appeal can be made to the Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime, within 15 (fifteen) days, starting from the day after the announcement of this country", the Court announces.
