Prosecutor General Olsian Çela met today with the head of the Serbian Organized Crime Prosecutor's Office, Mladen Nenad. The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between the two countries to combat organized crime and criminal activities that affect the interests of both states.
During the meeting, it is learned that the importance of international cooperation, such as Eurojust, which provides support for legal assistance and joint operations, was also discussed. One of the important points of the meeting was the creation of joint investigation teams, which will facilitate the coordination of investigations and the detection of criminal activities that cross borders.

The meeting discussed strengthening cooperation in the fight against criminal activities affecting both countries, through the efficient use of international cooperation instruments such as Eurojust, the creation of joint investigative groups, and parallel investigations.
"The coordination of investigations also within the framework of the Western Balkans Criminal Justice Project, supported by Eurojust, was considered very important in terms of combating cross-border crime in our region ," the General Prosecutor's Office said in a statement.
In conclusion, the Çela-Nenadić meeting illustrates the commitment of the two institutions to combat organized crime through strengthening cooperation and mutual assistance, at a time when criminal activities pose a major threat to stability in the Western Balkans.
