The above images were captured by the security cameras of the apartment of 34-year-old Asqeri Mandri in Kodër Kamëz, who had installed them to monitor his wife.
In the video, the 34-year-old is seen playing with the girls, and journalist Dorjana Bezat learns that after this moment, Mandri goes and rapes the husband in front of minor children.
In the apartment, Asqeri Mandri kept his wife, the mother of 4 children, isolated. Asqeri Mandri's jealousy went beyond the cameras and locking in the apartment, he even raped his wife. The security cameras that he himself had installed inside and outside the house are strong evidence against him as they filmed the moments when the 34-year-old rapes his wife in front of them.
In the testimony that the young woman gave before the blue uniforms, she shows that her husband has always been jealous, but leaving as an immigrant has made him even more aggressive. She says that her husband is addicted to gambling and sometimes he stopped her from going to work and other times she asked him why he didn't bring more money home. Episodes of violence became frequent, which forced him to report to the police.
This violence was carried out in front of the brother-in-law and mother-in-law, but they did not speak. They not only deny the violence, but blame the daughter-in-law of the house, accusing her of setting a trap for her husband by returning him from emigration to put him in prison.
"The bride left the good road. He went to work and did not hand over his salary to us. He didn't ask the boy at all, he was on the phone listening to lover after lover. I even saw him making videos in the bedroom", says the 34-year-old's mother.
The 34-year-old also maintained a negative attitude in front of the blue uniforms. According to him, fights with his wife are like in any couple and he did not use violence, while regarding the cameras he said that he decided to be closer to his family and children while he was not in Albania.
After the arrest, the family members of Asqeri Mandri claim that he has shown mental health problems which will be evaluated by a forensic expert. / TCH
