We invite you to follow the Informative Edition with the main developments up to this hour of the day, where among other things we highlight:

Anti-government protests continue to be at the center of political developments in the country, while Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted by describing them as a mix between the real concerns of citizens and what he calls the "black crust" of organized discontent. According to him, public administration remains one of the main points of criticism, but also an area where improvement is being sought through digitalization and reforms.

In the political and international arena for Albania, MP Marjana Koçeku held a meeting in Brussels with MEP Thomas Waitz, where they discussed the challenges of European integration, environmental issues and their impact on the negotiation process with the EU. In parallel, an amendment was filed in the US by Congressman Joe Wilson that calls for an investigation into drug trafficking and the possible role of Albanian institutions, adding political pressure to US-Albania relations.

In the justice system, the head of SPAK has reported an increase in the volume of cases, including electoral ones and corruption in public institutions, while also demanding a solution to the issue of prosecutorial mandates. The Special Court in The Hague has also postponed the decision for former KLA leaders, while reactions in Kosovo and Albania have been strong, including warnings of protests.

Numerous police operations have been carried out in the country, including raids on call center networks that were defrauding European citizens of tens of millions of euros, as well as arrests for cannabis cultivation and abuse of office in local administration. At the same time, INSTAT reports an increase in employment in the administration, but with a noticeable shift towards management positions, raising a debate about the efficiency and costs of the public sector.

Internationally, developments are equally tense. In Ukraine, Russian attacks have caused numerous casualties, including children, and extensive damage to civilian infrastructure, while President Zelensky has called for more support for air defense. In Venezuela, after devastating earthquakes, the death toll has passed the thousands, with tens of thousands missing and an escalating humanitarian crisis.

In Monaco, a bombing of a Ukrainian businessman has led to the identification of a female suspect by Interpol, who is suspected of having acted in an organized manner and with the assistance of international criminal networks.

At the global political level, the EU has imposed a complete ban on the distribution of Russia Today in all formats as part of the information war, while Donald Trump has criticized NATO, demanding that Europe take more responsibility for its security.
