Journalist Mentor Kikia said that there are many charlatan patriots in Albania, since at the end of every match of the National Team, the flags are thrown into the trash cans.
Kikia said that after the nihilism towards everything that had to do with Albania after the 90s, after the 2000s, football was the one that once again brought back the feeling of patriotism among Albanians. But according to him, what happens after every match of the National Team is predictable.
"After '90, when we saw the world with our eyes, we started to hate everything we had in the country, and everyone told me to disappear and not to turn my head, and I harbored a kind of hatred that if you accepted patriotism until 2000, you were looked down upon with a kind of contempt. . It slowly began to revive, a kind of feeling of patriotism for us to try to say that we love Albania. This feeling began to arise on the football fields, we found shelter where our team won, especially when they won against Greece, and then after leaving the stadium you could see those flags in the trash cans and in Lana", said Kikia.
