The bloodshed in Shkodra, mafia attacks put the police out of action; why is

Armed killers who appear with or without masks, shoot, leave victims behind and flee. These are events that have been warned, while the police seem paralyzed...

Another criminal incident has shaken Shkodra. Two people lost their lives and two others were injured in a gun attack in one of the bars in the city center. The victims are Armando Pali and Liridon Kraja, the first an employee of the Shkodra IMT and the other, the driver of Erogen Vaso alias Brajovic, who is suspected of being the target of the attack. Erogen Vaso was injured, as was a 25-year-old girl who worked as a waitress in the bar.

The perpetrator, Ragip Gila, was arrested moments after the crime, in an attempt to flee. He was caught in Zall Kir, while he had abandoned the vehicle he used to flee after committing the attack.

Gila, with a serious criminal record, had just been released from prison. He appeared wearing a motorcycle helmet at the bar where Erogen Vaso was, which appears to have been the target of the attack. Gila opened fire, leaving behind a "river" of blood, with two victims and two injured. Pali died at the scene, while Kraja died a few moments later in the hospital.

The target of the assassination, Erogen Vaso, was injured and according to reports, his life is out of danger, as is the 25-year-old girl, who worked as a waitress.

Armando Pali, one of today's victims, also has no criminal record. Perhaps he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Likewise, the 25-year-old woman who was injured was at her workplace when she was confronted by a hail of bullets.

Today's assassination in Shkodra is the second criminal incident in 4 days in this city. Within 4 days, 3 victims and two injured have been registered, while in both assassinations the perpetrators act without fear.

Kristian Kola was shot in a bar on the evening of September 4, while the assailants disappeared in the blink of an eye. The victim has no criminal record, at least according to police statements.

The two criminal events of the last 4 days are reminiscent of those movie scenes from Palermo in the 70s, when gangs or mafia groups terrorized the city and eliminated opponents.

Armed killers who appear with or without masks, shoot, leave victims behind and flee. These are events that have been warned about, while the police seem paralyzed.

The Director of the State Police, in this specific case Ilir Proda, does not speak, does not react, even though 3 citizens have lost their lives in the middle of a city and two others have been injured within 4 days.

In fact, Proda should have been the first to react, even if only to raise the alarm and 'wake up' the local police from their post-election slumber. Silence does not increase security for citizens, nor does it increase their trust in the Police. The latter's mission is not to count the victims or the injured, but to prevent crimes, especially when they threaten life.

Someone could say that such events happen everywhere and they could be right, but the point is that in Albania, in this specific case in Shkodra, the killers are showing that they are not afraid: a motorbike, a skull and a gun are enough for them. /Pamphlet/
