A broad debate has recently started with the attendance of beaches in our country, especially the one in the south.
Videos from vacationers are circulating on social networks, who witness the almost empty beaches of Vlora, while the government and ministers publish posts full of tourists and populated beaches on their personal accounts every day.
Recently, there was a "war" with facts (video evidence) between the Prime Minister and the journalist Blendi Fevziu.
The latter on July 31 published a video - selfie from Grama Bay (one of the most beautiful bays on the south coast) where the beach was almost empty.
Immediately after this post, Prime Minister Edi Rama himself hastened to publish a video from the same bay, where some beachgoers are seen, citing some statistics on the arrival of tourists in our country.
From Dhërmiu, Rama dismissed the claims that Albania has been abandoned by vacationers this year.
"Last night I received the figures, 1 million and 200 thousand passengers have entered from the airport, over 350 thousand more than last year. This July another record was broken, that of entries in a single day, 44 thousand. The airport has managed to operate up to 252 flights in a 24-hour cycle, unimaginable a few years ago. Not even the hairy mouths of those who don't rest can tell about the airport numbers, Albania is now empty of tourists as well. In absolute value for the number of passengers, Tirana has placed Belgrade airport in second place," says Rama, regarding statistics that we do not know if they are real or not.
Meanwhile, while quoting the figures coming from Morina, Rama also emphasized that it is not at all true that this year, Albania has also been abandoned by the Albanians of Kosovo.
"The figures in Morina, during this year 175 thousand vehicles more than years, in July 3 thousand more than years. The malicious theory about Kosovo Albanians who have left Albania, is zero with a tassel. The figures from customs are an increase compared to years, more people spend here in Albania," he says.
