Can Edi Rama be overthrown by election? This is the question that has fueled a strong debate between analysts Andi Bushati and Neritan Sejamini.
Invited to the show "The Unexposed", Bushati said that the opposition cannot win the elections since we live in an autocracy, so it must be radicalized and denounce every factor that keeps Rama in power, including the international ones.
While Sejamini said that he hopes that the opposition will not listen to these "advices" as they are not productive and will never come to power.
Excerpts from the studio debate:
Neritan Sejamini : What should the opposition do?
Andi Bushati : The first thing to do is to realize that the elections have been lost. Based on this, there should be a minimum target, not to leave Rama 2/3. To suspend the vote of immigrants that will become havoc. To promote in its lists only people with strong public statements against the failure of the justice reform. Let no one be a deputy who does not distance himself from SPAK and justice reform and does not denounce every charlatan diplomat who works for the power of Edi Rama. We need a radical opposition, determined against the justice reform and telling the people the truth, Edi Rama is a dictator supported by the USA and the EU. When you say this, you are separated from Rama and his supporters. At least they tell the truth.
Neritan Sejamini: So people are stupid and the opposition will enlighten them?
Andi Bushati : When you see the Democratic Party, an ordinary bureaucrat from the English embassy came and it was as if Obama came. So, he should give up this falsehood, to say that we are against the embassy palaces. Those from Brussels want Edi Rama, who makes concessions. We will fight for our country.
Neritan Sejamini : So to sever relations with the world, isolate yourself, the revisionists... To fight the reform in justice?
Andi Bushati : What is this two-lek propaganda?
Neritan Sejamini: To come without having relations with foreigners, calling them palaços?
Andi Bushati : It doesn't mean that the English people love us because they brought us a fandrenia in the office. The opposition would rather say, we have Blinke with Rama, Meloni and Von der Leyen with Rama. Rama is a dictator and we will fight him. If you want to believe us, if you don't want to go to Blinken, Von der Leyen and the one who steals from you.
Neritan Sejamini : So DP will declare war on the USA and the EU and come to power?
Andi Bushati : It is not a declaration of war. Rama's dictatorship in Albania and Vucic's in Serbia are two regimes with international support from America and Brussels. If you say that Trump will come and they will love me too, we will recover, we don't insult the Shengjin agreement because Meloni is with us, that's how you sink. You have to tell people the truth. Along with the dictatorship, you should also denounce the supporters.
Neritan Sejamini : I hope the opposition doesn't listen to you. The opposition must start long-term efforts to build bridges with important factors.
Andi Bushati : Convince Meloni and Soros that Rama is a dictator?
Neritan Sejamini : They know who Rama is. Foreigners have lost hope that politicians build democracy, they are preoccupied with stability. They say they are a people who do not have the ability to self-govern and fight corruption.
Andi Bushati: Does a person who thinks like this denounce him? I say it is the palace that should not be heard.
Neritan Sejamini : Albania has not created a democracy and it is not the fault of Blinken, Meloni and Von Der Leyen.
Andi Bushati : The branches and democracy that was rising, the power changed, the vote worked...
Neritan Sejamini : As corruption and oligarchy grow, voting no longer works. The point is we must take responsibility as Albanians. We must overthrow Edi Rama. Blaming the world...
Andi Bushati : Not to blame, because they have their own interests. But you want to say, this one from Sazan and this one from the camp, don't listen to them when they praise Rama, because they did it for their trouble. This is not starting a war.
Neritan Sejamini : Even against the Shengjiti agreement, the opposition should come out. But it doesn't respond. But a priori we declare war on everyone, this...
