In the first episode of the "Te Pashoq" podcast, on the YouTube channel of "Pamfleti", the lawyer Romeo Kara spoke about the arrest of the head of the PL, Ilir Meta, which he considers an important step for the Albanian judiciary.
For the lawyer Kara, the big fuss made about how Meta was arrested is nothing more than an attempt by the people close to him to fade and divert attention from SPAK's accusations.
Excerpts from the studio conversation:
It has been discussed for 72 hours only how the arrest warrants were executed by the operational forces of the state police. You have any comments. Do you find room for lawlessness, show, for personal revenge as it is alluded to everywhere?
Romeo Kara : No! I read a lot of tears. The gentleman has taken a warning, threatening, blackmailing attitude towards people who perform a certain task. And all his discourse. The gentleman has threatened that he will not obey him and will show him the place of this structure from the prison cell. So the threats are open and public. They are public facts. Following these threats and his mental chatter and humor that he has shown me, he has bipolar disorder. The gentleman has not behaved to obey the police. They know why they stopped him that way, maybe they had some information. He even attacked them physically.
The Minister of the Interior claims that he resisted and seriously insulted the state police officers?
Romeo Kara : Who is this? How can state employees be offended because of the duty they do. There is a law that protects them.

Romeo Kara : He also committed a criminal offense with threats and insults due to his duty. If you do not obey the order for the execution of the court decision voluntarily, it will be carried out by force
And the place of arrest could have been chosen somewhere else?
Romeo Kara : I do not know the details of how the operation was prepared. It might even be the best thing. What I think is that they don't deal with the whole entourage of Meta, they don't deal with the accusations but they deal with the moment of arrest, the accusers and the policemen who participated. So they are successfully avoiding attention from the causes.
But they throw serious accusations, I believe you have seen that there are officers who have executed arrest warrants and have been accused of being connected to crime, to the gangs of Durrës!
Romeo Kara : Monika also said it a while ago. These threats are reminiscences. They don't want to understand that a new page has started in Albania.
