Although today started with clear weather after a week of intense rainfall, the situation is expected to deteriorate significantly in Vlora after 8:00 PM tonight.
Journalist Greta Haskaj reports that, according to meteorological forecasts, Vlora will once again face heavy rainfall, which has forced authorities to take emergency measures to avoid flooding, especially in areas historically affected by river overflows.
The Vlora Prefecture has intensified work to clean the drainage channels and has put the city's hydropower plant into full operation. Civil emergency structures have been repositioned in problematic areas, especially in Novosela, which was affected last week by the overflow of the Vjosa River.
