DP protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office, police plan measures;

Tirana Police have announced the plan of measures for the protest that the Democratic Party will hold today in front of the Prime Minister's Office. 

The announcement states that from 3:00 PM until the end of the rally, there will be a traffic jam on "Deshmorët e Kombit" Boulevard, from the intersection near the Ministry of Interior to "Mother Teresa" Square, as well as on "Ukraine e Lirë", "Papa John Paul II" and "Ismail Qemali" streets.

"Regarding the rally announced by the Democratic Party of Albania, which will take place today from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in front of the Prime Minister's Office, the Tirana Police has taken the necessary measures in accordance with the law "On Gatherings", in order to guarantee order and the smooth running of the activity, specifically:

-from 14:00, vehicles will not be allowed to park on "Dëshmorët e Kombit" boulevard, on "Mother Teresa" square, on "Ismail Qemali" street, from the intersection of Elbasani Street with "Ibrahim Rrugova" street, on "Papa Gjon Pali II" street, on "Jeanne D'Ark" boulevard and "Bajram Curri" boulevard, from the intersection of Elbasani Street with "Ibrahim Rugova" street;

-From 3:00 PM until the end of the rally, there will be a traffic jam on "Dëshmorët e Kombit" Boulevard, from the intersection near the Ministry of Interior to "Mother Teresa" Square, as well as on "Ukraine e Lirë", "Papa John Paul II" and "Ismail Qemali" streets.

Depending on the development of the rally, there may be restrictions on vehicle traffic on other road axes. In case of blockage, to help citizens who will circulate on these axes, Tirana Police has taken measures to divert vehicle traffic to alternative routes.

"The Tirana Police appeal to citizens to avoid driving on the road axes that will be blocked and to use alternative routes, so as not to impede the free movement of participants in the rally," the police said.
