Socialist Party MP Ardit Bido has exploded in criticism of the Greek state after declaring journalist Artan Hoxha "persona non grata".
Bido underlines that it is unacceptable that in the 21st century, the authorities of a European state continue to be influenced by the latest pangs of nationalism.
" The detention of Artan Hoxha at the Albanian-Greek border constitutes the second case in a few years that Albanian journalists are detained at the border due to their reporting and beliefs. It is unacceptable that in the 21st century, the authorities of a European state continue to be influenced by the latest pangs of nationalism. Seeking the rights of the Albanians of Chameria, confronting the political nationalism of the phenomena Golden Dawn, Beleri, etc., as well as protecting the national rights of Albanians, are not an option, but an obligation of every journalist and every Albanian. Therefore, attacking them, through the declaration of "non grata" constitutes the greatest abuse of European values ," says Bido.
He is the only official who has reacted to the Greek state, which continues to attack Albanian journalists.
