Not only in Tirana and Durrës, protests against the construction project in Zvërnec have also spread to Vlora, where dozens of citizens took to the streets to express their opposition.
With banners in their hands, protesters marched from the Municipality of Vlora towards Lungomare, conveying messages in defense of the environment and against construction in the Zvërnec and Narta areas.
The rally was attended by women, men, young people and children, who came together to oppose the project that has caused strong public reactions in recent days.
Through banners, the protesters expressed their positions with slogans such as: "For nature, not concrete", "Narta is heritage, not private property", "Saliu and Edvini sold out" and "Vlora is not for sale, the prime minister must protect it".
The protest took place peacefully, as participants demanded the protection of natural areas and more transparency for projects that affect territories considered public and environmental assets.
They expressed concern that the project violates an area of important natural values and demanded that institutions listen to the voice of the local community before making decisions that affect the future of the territory.
