7 residents of Fierze administrative unit in Tropoja, including the owner of a restaurant in Tropoja, were detained by the police today. The residents were protesting against the works in the quarry at the time they were escorted.
We remind you that today the residents of Fierza came out in protest where they demanded to stop the work in the quarry and to cancel the construction of the bitumen factories.
To give more voice to their protest, they also blocked the road leading to the ferry causing heavy traffic.
Meanwhile, since a few days ago, the residents of Borizana have also raised concerns about the quarry, who denounced multiple explosions in the quarry located above the village of Fushë-Kruja, saying that their houses are being destroyed in this way.
