Analyst Brizida Gjikondi said that no one takes Sali Berisha seriously anymore. She added that the former prime minister is abandoned by everyone and no one believes him for what he articulates.
"What Berisha says today, he won't say tomorrow, he has no more breath, taxes and no people to bring new things. A person who is wearing pajamas underneath and a jacket on top, I don't take him seriously at all. Nobody trusts Berisha anymore. It would be good for him to enjoy the pension himself, the first one" , said Gjikondi for "Abc News".
While Berisha's legal and defense group is preparing for the review session on November 19, a document has arrived at the Constitutional Court. Through the lawyers, Berisha requests that the judge Marsida Xhaferllari, the name of the President's institution, not be present at this session.
He requested the annulment of the decisions of the GJKKO and the Special Appeal, which assigned him the security measure of "house arrest".
But the reason that Berisha's lawyers see the judge in a conflict of interest with the former prime minister is not legal, but political. In the complaint, they refer to Ms. Xhaferllari as the partner of Enkelejd Alibeaj and for this they claim that there is a conflict of interest.
Regarding this movement, Gjikondi said that he does not expect the Constitutional Court to decide in favor of Sali Berisha's request.
"I don't believe it, because I repeat, Berisha's file is one of the files that have been exhausted from a legal and procedural point of view. More late, Albanian justice reconfirmed the text that Blinken had declared non grata. "If the two institutions that have shown integrity were the Constitutional Court and SPAK" , said Gjikondi.
