The Secretariat of Ethics, after reviewing the request received from the SP, decided to exclude 19 opposition MPs from the works of the Assembly.
The Secretariat of Ethics has expelled MP Ervin Salianji for 20 days, while 18 other MPs of the opposition have been left out of the Assembly for 10 days. Their exclusion comes after the disturbances caused in the last plenary session, as well as the chaos caused in the Electoral Reform Commission.
The deputies who have been excluded from the works of the Assembly are Albana Vokshi, Sorina Koti, Elda Hoti, Lindita Metaliaj, Isuf Çela, Tritan Shehu, Lefter Gështenja, Helidon Bushati, Xhelal Mziu, Edmond Spaho, Oerd Bylykbashi, Ervin Salianji, Samir Korreshi, Kasem Mahmutaj, Ramadan Likaj, Kastriot Piroli, Qani Xhala, Lodovik Hasani and Luan Baçi.
This is the first time that the Ethics Secretariat has expelled such a large number of opposition MPs, since the launch of the Reestablishment group's action.
We remind you that the SP requested earlier the expulsion of 19 DP deputies who blocked the work of the Assembly of Albania and the Special Electoral Reform Commission. In the letter addressed to the Secretariat of Ethics, it was stated that the opposition legislators blocked the floor, caused chaos in the hall by means of noisy devices, violating and hindering the orderly development of the session.
They also blocked the work of the Special Electoral Reform Commission scheduled to be held physically on Friday, forcing the members of the commission to continue the work online.
