Criminalistics expert Fatjon Softa has commented on the mega-operation developed by SPAK, where 7 criminal groups were hit and 50 arrest warrants were issued.
Softa made an analysis of how these groups cooperated with each other:
" From these interceptions, it has emerged that the groups cooperate in three elements, for properties, for narcotics and for gambling. This has made these 7 groups to be together, to be together and talk about great values. If it was said that 3 million euros were seized in this action, I think this is something very transitory in relation to the real values that the criminal world has, but with 3 million euros you can pay 2500 pensioners in a year, you can pay 500 police officers , their salary. We are talking about hundreds of millions of euros, which are damages caused to this society. Society is not measured only by murders and assassinations, but also by economic damage ", Softa said this Tuesday in an interview for Euronews Albania.
He said that in the criminal activities of these groups, there is definitely help from the power forces by participating in election campaigns.
