Ylli Gurra, the former Mufti of Tirana, commented on the case of well-known religious preacher Imran Hosein, who was prevented from entering Albania by the border police in Rinas.
According to Gurrë, the figure of Imran Hosein becomes problematic in this case because of the eschatological discourse and messages he conveys, as well as because of the conspiracy theories he raises, which are disturbing.
" This has been everywhere, even more so in Europe. His discussions, predictions giving names, clashes, the end of the world, or even the case of Syria, that is, the conspiracy theories he raises, are worrying. His explanations, especially the shield he uses from the Quran, giving deadlines for the overthrow of the world and his approach to World War III, are questionable. He has gone so far as to declare that Hagia Sophia in Istanbul will return to the former Byzantium, and he has said this publicly in Moscow. Such declarations, using religion as a shield or as an excuse, are as far from a reasonable approach as the East and the West ," said Gurra, invited to the Review show on Euronews Albania.
