The new commercial port of Durrës will cost 390 million euros.

According to the documents, it is estimated that the construction will cost 39 billion ALL, or about 390 million euros at the current exchange rate.
The Port Authority of Durrës will be advised in the port tendering procedure by the Dutch company Royal Haskoning.
A few days ago, the Authority signed a direct negotiation contract worth 12 million euros with the Dutch company for consultancy and supervision in the construction of the new port.
This is only the first phase of the construction of the new cargo port, which is being moved to the Porto Romano area.
The need to relocate the commercial port came as the existing port will be turned into an environment for tourism and the city, with the project being developed to build a complex with hotels, restaurants and residential towers.
