Vrasja e Nikulajt në Shëngjin, Gjykata e Londrës shtyn

The issue of the extradition of four Britons and an Albanian wanted by Albanian justice on suspicion of being involved in the murder of Ardian Nikulaj last year in Shengjin has taken an unexpected development.

The verdict was supposed to be given today, but the court postponed it. The judge of the case Paul Goldspring in the extradition requested by Albania of Thomas Mithan, Steven Hunt, Harry Simpson, Harriet Bridgeman and the Albanian Edmond Haxhia, said that he will give the decision on August 27.

Top Channel learns that this postponement has to do with some new documents brought by the Albanian Ministry of Justice for this extradition process, among them a letter of guarantee drawn up by the chief prosecutor of Lezha, Erion Shehaj and with the signature of the Minister of Justice, Ulsi Manja sent to court, where it is guaranteed that Edmond Haxhia will not be punished for blood feud, a criminal offense punishable by 30 years in prison to life in prison.

The five arrested on account of Albanian justice in this extradition process were not in the courtroom. Among their relatives, there was only Elton Leksaka, Edmond Haxhi's first cousin. According to the prosecution, Lezhës Haxhia organized and created the conditions for the murder of Ardian Nikulaj.
