For more than a week, the Tirana-Elbasan axis has turned into a nightmare for drivers. Kilometer long queues have been created at the exit of the highway, causing drivers to wait up to almost 2 hours in line. Even today, the same situation continued, even in the early hours of the morning.
Only today the Elbasan Traffic Police remembered to react. She asks drivers to be patient.

The Traffic Police Services have increased 100% readiness in the field, as well as increased vigilance, with the aim of traffic management, due to the flow of vehicles returning towards Tirana, as well as those moving towards Korça and the coast, mainly on the "Qafë thane-Elbasan" and "Rrogozhinë-Elbasan" axes.
Also, in the field, in support of the Traffic Police, the services of Public Order and those of the Shqiponja force of DVP Elbasan are engaged, for road safety and to guarantee that there will be no blockage of movement.
Motorists should moderate their speed, show patience, stay in line and not make wrong passes, so as not to return to the source of road accidents or traffic jams.
Citizens must strictly respect the traffic rules and follow the instructions of the Police services.
