One of the protesters who spoke during the 45th protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office brought to attention the concert of American rapper Kanye West, held in Tirana on July 11, accusing Prime Minister Edi Rama of misusing public funds.
According to her, the prime minister "stole the state budget", while claiming that 4.2 million euros were given to the artist in violation of the Constitution. The protester also criticized Rama's public image, stating that he cannot deceive international partners.
"We are here for Albania, to say stop to the 36-year transition. You cannot hold the future of the Albanian people hostage. Albanians and the whole world have understood the face of Rama, a deceiver, who with his sneakers thinks he will deceive international leaders. They know who you are, that you are an autocrat who has stolen the budget together with your collaborators ," she says.
Referring to Kanye West's concert, she added:
"The most typical example is when you gave a tallava singer 4.2 million euros. It is shameful to steal the budget in violation of the Constitution. You are a manipulator of public opinion. But now the end has come for you," the protester added.
