The head of the Joint Movement, Arlind Qori, stated that Albania's poor result in the international Pisa 2022 exam is a symptom of the government's annual disregard for education.
Invited to Ora News, he added that in Tirana there is an overcrowding of students in classes, while he emphasized that there are very few students in schools in other cities.
" This is a symptom of the government's annual disregard for education. The government sees education as a space where some things need to be managed, where a school is held and some people are put to work, but no more. I was looking at some data, the average of OECD countries is 21 students per class. There are many students in the classroom, while in many places in Albania there are fewer students than it seems. A teacher cannot teach with two students.
Some citizens have deficiencies in logical and linguistic formation. Today I jokingly say that the sign of an intellectual is that he writes without mistakes, when this should have been the level of a fourth grader. The first reason is the lack of infrastructure, nepotism and the gangrene of nepotistic appointments. We have many good teachers, but those with party affiliation are hired ," he said.
