Journalist Andi Tela stated that despite polls showing high dissatisfaction with the government, the Socialist Party achieved growth in most regions due to pressure from the administration and the patronage system.
He said that this influence hindered the vote for new parties and helped transfer votes from the DP to the SP.
"If we look at the results of the polls, we see that there is not much difference from the results of the votes. When citizens were asked if this government would solve their problems, they were 70% that this government cannot solve them.
In this case, we had alternatives and the idea was to at least prevent the SP from getting less than 70 mandates and for votes to go to new parties. This did not happen because we have 200 thousand workers working in the state, not to mention 4 times that and their families.
There was pressure from the administration and state institutions to prepare lists and patronage with lists that would vote for the SP. All this pressure has also taken away the opportunity for small parties to vote for them.
"If we look at the comparison with 2021, we have an increase in the SP in every district, with the exception of Kukës where the PSD entered and there is a decrease in the SP. If you look at where the SP gets these votes, they are from the DP, which are divided between the SP and the small parties ," Tela said on the show "The Unexposed".
