Lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu calls the Democratic Party, led by Sali Berisha,'s claim that the elections were manipulated and stolen exaggerated and unfounded.
According to him, the facts that the DP did not have strong bases were the deep result and the lack of complaints from other parties. Even ironically, Spahiu recalls that the DP was a party that had commissioners and counters and now it is the only one complaining.
"There is an undeniable fact in these elections, which changes the approach from all other elections. The first is the diaspora vote, which proves and confirms the result of Albania. Which means that citizens have not been manipulated and sold to Canada, the USA, Germany, England, Italy and beyond. It is impossible. The new parties confirm the result. The only one that claims it is the DP, which is against the results and moreover has counters and commissioners.
"How is it possible that a party that has people on committees is the one that complains even more. You go to SPAK with reports, with facts and evidence. Now the question is how much money Chris LaCivita was paid. The election result was predetermined before the campaign. Regarding the Task Force for Electoral Crimes, before the elections there were 15 reports to SPAK and after the elections, as far as I know, there are 10 such reports," Spahiu told "Report TV".
Regarding the mandates won by the SP with 83 MPs and the latest debate on the extension of the mandate of SPAK prosecutors, referring to today's meeting of the Minister of Justice, Ulsi Manja, with the head of the prosecution, Altin Dumani, the lawyer explained that this will also be the debate of the next four years.
"This will be the debate of 4 years. The SP has a qualified majority, which means that a party, the majority, can change any organic, institutional and constitutional law, except for the Constitution which requires 94 votes. With this majority, the SP will undoubtedly use it for two main purposes: Influence in justice and a favorable electoral system, so I advise new parties to be very careful, to be vigilant at this point. The SP also has the votes in relation to SPAK and the extension of their mandate. It will be a debate that is not welcome. The competences of SPAK are defined in the Constitution of Albania, they have a provision, as far as I have read it does not affect these. The minister does not have these competences in SPAK, he cannot intervene" , said Spahiu.
