Lawyer Romeo Kara commented on the special court's decision to move the "Partizani" case to trial.
Lawyer Kara emphasized that for the first time, former Prime Minister Berisha is stepping down from the throne of ruler and is approaching punishment.
"In this case, justice slowed down in this campaign. I believe this shows that they did it because they have not yet overcome the stereotype... so our legal security is very fragile. The system is failing us even where we think it is the best. Seeing him as a difficult person, even investigating him... God has seen to it that Albanians voted the same... For the first time, he is stepping down from the throne of the ruler and is approaching punishment. This is the beginning of the end of the rule of people who have held justice hostage with political power," the lawyer said on the "Real Story" show on ABC News.
