During all these days, groups have been organized in the field to continuously monitor the situation to prevent the fire from spreading.
Nertil Jole, the prefect of the Korça district, was also present on the ground, who yesterday organized another meeting with the structures in Maliq regarding the fires and the measures that should be taken in the future to limit the area of burnt peat land. as well as for the reorganization of the working groups for the 24-hour surveillance of this area.
During this meeting, the necessity of opening third canals, which have been damaged and destroyed over the years, was also assessed.
