The Elbasan-Përrenjas road axis reopened today at around 12:00 to vehicle traffic, after being closed for more than a week as a result of a collapse in one of its segments.
The Traffic Police have taken measures to monitor traffic along the entire axis, with special focus on the area where the road suffered damage and where traffic has been diverted.
Police services have been deployed along the segment to ensure the free and safe movement of vehicles after the road reopened at noon. Authorities are appealing for drivers to exercise extra caution as construction work continues in the area.
The Traffic Police asks drivers to respect the signs, control their speed, and follow the instructions of the officers on the ground and the Albanian Road Authority (ARRSH).
