A resident has rescued his dog from the floods. In the meantime, authorities are urging citizens to be careful and avoid moving to areas at risk.
As a result of the overflowing of the Vjosa River, the Civil Emergencies have issued an immediate evacuation order for the residents of Novosela. Homes are at risk due to heavy rainfall that has worsened the situation.
The evacuation will be carried out in coordination with the National Civil Protection Agency, the prefect of the district and the emergency structures in the municipality. Priority will be given to children, the elderly, people with disabilities and isolated families. The Municipality of Vlora will provide shelter for the residents.
