Residents of Bilaj and Murqinë villages have protested this morning regarding the works being done for the new Thumanë-Kashar highway.
Residents say that they are not against the development path and have not become an obstacle to the state or the company, which has been working for over a year without any permit and without any rules, but today they say that the company has diverted the project at will by blocking the 300-year-old roads of these villages of about 2500 inhabitants.
The residents say that there was no consultation by the company, A.RR.RR.SH or the Ministry of Transport with the community of these villages, which are the most damaged of all.
The company, in addition to all the roads of the village that it has destroyed, immense pollution, etc., today blocked two main roads, one of which is a national axis, leaving no underpasses or overpasses for the village and the villagers who will be forced to cross tomorrow whole kilometers to get to the lands, since the highway divides the village into two parts, even the students of the village of Murqinë who go to school in Bilaj will have the cost of the ticket added as the kilometers that will be added will be many.
They ask for an underpass so that their lives will not be made difficult and their costs will not increase, they also ask that the company reset all the roads it has destroyed and the damage it has brought to this area.
