The police of Elbasan seized property worth 550,000 euros owned by two persons convicted of prostitution.
The asset was seized as part of the operation coded "Real estate" and is suspected to come from the criminal activity of two persons, who have been convicted one in Italy, the other in Belgium, for the criminal offense "Trafficking and exploitation for prostitution".
The seized assets of citizens Arjan Kamami and Ward Kaloti are villas, shops, restaurants, hotels and a "Lamborghini" car.
DVP Elbasan/In implementation of the measures defined in the national operational plan "Rule of Law", the work continues to trace and seize assets that have their source from criminal activities.
The coded police operation "Real estate" is finalized. Assets worth about 550,000 euros are seized, which are suspected to have their source from the criminal activities of 2 citizens, who have been convicted, one in Italy, the other in Belgium, for the criminal offense of "Trafficking and exploitation for prostitution".
In implementation of the measures defined in the nationwide operational plan "Rule of Law" and in the framework of a criminal proceeding for the identification and seizure of assets derived from criminal activities, referred by the Section for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes at the Prosecutor's Office of Elbasan, conducted the police operation coded "Real estate", as a result of which assets suspected to have their source from criminal activities were seized, namely:
• Pursuant to the decision of the Court of First Instance of Elbasan General Jurisdiction, 2 assets of the citizen AK, registered in his name and those of his relatives, were seized, specifically: 1 3-storey building (with bar activity, restaurant and hotel), in Cërrik, and 1 "Lamborghini" vehicle. From the investigative actions, it is suspected that the confiscated assets have their source from the criminal activities carried out by the citizen AK, who is convicted in Belgium, for the criminal offense "Trafficking and exploitation for prostitution";
• In accordance with the decision of this Court, the property of the UK citizen, 34 years old, resident in Elbasan, specifically a residential building with an area of 105 m2, was seized in Elbasan. From the investigative actions, it is suspected that this seized property has its source from the criminal activities carried out by the UK citizen, who was previously convicted, in Italy, for the criminal offense "Trafficking and exploitation for prostitution".
The procedural materials were handed over to the Prosecutor's Office for further action, the police announced.
