Since noon, a preliminary hearing is being held in the Special Court for Fredi Beleri, the elected mayor of Himara, on charges of vote buying. The court is expected to decide today if it will pass the case for trial, if it will ask SPAK to deepen the investigations or if it will dismiss it.
In an interview for "Report TV", Lawyer Spartak Ngjela expressed his conviction that in relation to the case, we are dealing with a criminal case.
He added that Beler will be punished, as according to him he was caught red-handed with buying and selling votes.
" He will definitely be punished. It was caught in the act. There is no escape from flagrante delicto by buying and selling votes. He won with 20 votes. He is a dangerous man with terrible anti-Albanian activities. Leave the paid who let the Greeks down and up. He bought votes. How can he be mayor? Only the ignorant consider him mayor. This is over ," says Ngjela.
