Andi Rraja, one of those arrested for the violence against the Maja cousins, requested a lighter security measure in the Court of Appeal .
The reason for the violence against the Mayans was their complaint to the police about the explosions in the quarry, owned by Pëparim Rraja, the brother of the former Socialist MP Rrahman Rraja. They stated at the police station that their homes were damaged due to these explosions.
After the denunciation, a large group of men, mostly members of the Rraja tribe, assaulted the two Maja cousins with baseball bats, punches and kicks.
The event came to light after a video of the violence, filmed by the perpetrators, circulated in the media. They just get out of 3 cars, enter the bar and start hitting and kicking the two cousins with baseball bats. In fact, Xelal Rraja, the other brother of the former MP, has a pistol in his hand. For this event, 4 people were arrested while the others are still being sought.
