Today, the trial on the merits for Ilir Meta, Monika Kryemadhi and the other defendants is being held at the GJKKO.
For the first time, this hearing is being broadcast live on Ilir Meta's Facebook profile, but after just a few minutes, the judge interrupted the broadcast.
Meta's lawyer once again demanded in loud tones that Meta not be kept in a glass cage.
In today's session, the court is expected to decide whether to accept the request for a summary trial for the other three defendants, Monika Kryemadhi's mother, Fatima, and Ema Çoku, a friend of the former MP, both accused of money laundering, and former AKEP leader Pirro Xhixho, accused of corruption.
The GJKKO is also expected to make a decision on Meta's request specifically for the live broadcast of the session.
