"Burned" by Ilir Proda, the former director of BKH takes on a new position in the State Police

Former head of the National Bureau of Investigation, Aida Hajnaj, has been appointed head of the Information Technology Department at the State Police.

According to the State Police law, she should have been returned to the same position she had previously held, and her failure to reinstate her by former police chief Ilir Proda forced her to file a lawsuit with the Administrative Court, which led to the cancellation of the competition for departments in the State Police.

Aida Hajnaj was appointed head of the National Bureau of Investigation on July 30, 2020 and was relieved of duty on September 1, 2025.

Previously, she held the position of Deputy Director of the State Police, a position she held since 2018. Hajnaj has also served as Director of the Border and Migration Department at the State Police.

As for the new head of the BKH, Joni Keta has taken over the leadership of the institution.
