The head of SPAK, Klodjan Braho, warned that the end of the mandate of special prosecutors and the lack of the right to re-election are expected to affect the pace of investigations, bringing about a temporary slowdown in the processes.
According to him, the change of prosecutors also brings differences in the way cases are handled, especially due to the level of experience.
"How will the change of prosecutors affect the way a prosecutor with long experience investigates and represents a case, is different from a prosecutor who comes in on the first day and faces a criminal organization. It must be taken into account that they do not have previous experience," said Braho.
He stressed that while court proceedings are expected to continue at the same pace, the investigation phase will be directly affected by this transition.
"The judicial processes will continue at the same speed. It will affect the investigation and slow it down. It will be temporary," he added.
