One injured with a firearm and the other with a knife, are the consequences of the incident that happened yesterday afternoon in Vorë.
The protagonists are 2 brothers, one of whom is an army officer and a 34-year-old man. Official police sources say that everything happened while the two brothers Kidi Muzhaqi and Ermal Muzhaqi (24 and 27 years old) were in the car and 34-year-old Ergest Hoxha stabbed 24-year-old Kidi Muzhaqi in the arm.
Meanwhile, the Tirana police have provided new details regarding the event.
From the preliminary investigations, the police say that the 34-year-old Ergest Hoxha approached the car where the two brothers Kidi Muzhaqi and Ermal Muzhaqi (24 and 27 years old) were and tried to kill the 24-year-old with a knife. At this moment, his 27-year-old brother reacted and shot him with his service weapon, since he was an army officer, and wounded the 34-year-old Hoxha.
24-year-old Kidi Muzhaqi was also injured. In the press release, the police say that the motives of this event are still unclear. The police also arrested Ermal Muzhaq and Ergest Hoxha.
"Following the preliminary information given about the event that happened at noon yesterday, in Vora, we inform you that the specialists for the Investigation of Serious Crimes Against Life detained the citizens:
– EM, 27 years old and EH, 34 years old, both residents of Vora.
From the investigative actions carried out for this event, it is suspected that yesterday, around 12:20, in Vorë, the citizen EH approached the vehicle with driver EM and passengers KM and BA, and for still unclear reasons, attempted to kill citizen KM with a knife At this moment, the driver of the vehicle, citizen EM (army officer), intervened and injured citizen EH with his service weapon
Citizens KM and EH are in the hospital, under the care of doctors.
The police seized the firearm, the pistol and the knife used in this incident, as well as the mobile devices of the citizens involved.
At the direction of the Prosecution, work continues to determine the cause of the case.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction in Tirana, for further actions," the police announced.
