Former prosecutor Eugen Beci has commented on the decision of the Tirana Municipal Council to dismiss Mayor Erion Veliaj.
He described the decision as a violation of fundamental rights and highlighted the lack of transparency and respect for legal procedure in this process.

Beci emphasized that procedures for dismissing a mayor cannot be based solely on partial interpretations of the law, but must respect the spirit of the Constitution and the fundamental rights of the individual.
