Veliaj's dismissal, Source: We will have two parallel trials, what will

Journalist Genc Burimi has commented on the selection of Ogerta Manastirliu as a candidate for the Municipality of Tirana.

According to Burimi, Rama needs a political figure in the municipality, as that is where he finances the party.

" The trial against Erion Veliaj begins on October 15, imagine that Rama has also launched the procedure for the dismissal of the mayor.

Veliaj has the constitutional right to appeal his dismissal from office within 15 days.

In two parallel trials, we will have a trial of Veliaj and a trial of the Council of Ministers by the Constitutional Court.

In both cases, we do not know how long the trial of Veliaj and the Constitutional Court will last.

Veliaj's trial ends faster than that of the Constitutional Court.

Imagine in this case that the court acquits Veliaj, as Rama has done and appointed Manastirliu as the candidate for mayor of Tirana, when in this case Veliaj has the right to run for the early elections in Tirana.

The whole issue is not with Veliaj, but with Manastirliu.

The city hall of the capital is the goose that lays the golden eggs. If Jacques Chirac defeated François Mitterrand, when the latter was President and Chirac was the mayor of Paris, it was because he had control of the finances of Paris and his party.

He financed the party with municipal finances.

Rama today needs a political mayor through whom he will continue to finance the party.

Today, Tirana's budget is higher than that of the Ministry of Defense, it is around 400 million euros. And Edi Rama can never let it fall into Berisha's hands.

"Every municipality finances politics ," Genc Burimi said on "Syri TV."
