The National Cyber Security Authority has called on citizens to be careful, as a fraudulent scheme is spreading through telephone messages.
Many citizens have complained that they have received an SMS informing them that they have been fined by the Traffic Police and are asked to make the payment at a specific link. According to AKSK, this is a fraud scheme and many people have been robbed of money.
Notice to citizens
The National Cyber Security Authority (AKSK) informs that a "smishing" message is circulating that aims to deceive citizens with fake fines for violating road traffic rules.
The message contains a fraudulent link and requests online payments. This is not an official communication from state institutions and any citizen who receives this SMS should ignore it and not click on the link or provide personal information.
AKSK has immediately taken measures to report the blocking of the site, to prevent any possible damage.
We call on citizens:
* Do not open suspicious links that come from unofficial SMS or emails.
* Never make payments through sites that are not official domains.
* Immediately notify AKSK or relevant institutions if you encounter such messages.
