Former prosecutor Ervin Karanxha, while commenting on the opening of the competition for the head of SPAK, stated that it will be cheaper than 3 years ago.
On MCN TV, Karanxha said that there may be recommendations from the US, but it will not have the same impact as before.
" My opinion is that there may be recommendations. It is a structure that has always had the assistance of the US. Given the change in US foreign policy, there will not be influences like there were before, when the ambassador came and met face to face with the members of the KLP. There may be some suggestions, recommendations, but no influential interventions. It will be a freer race. And the candidates themselves will do legal lobbying. The candidates will campaign. The race is strong. SPAK prosecutors have had important issues. The candidates meet the criteria ," he said.
Karanxha said that even after Dumani's departure, the institution will continue its work.
" Every request that is made physically becomes public, names are circulated. All SPAK prosecutors have the right to compete. There are also prosecutors who I don't want to be the chief, because they are less often in court and deal with administrative issues ," continued Karanxha.
