The strong wind damaged the lines in some areas and left some villages without electricity
Today our country is affected by bad weather. Heavy rains, strong winds prevailed in most of the country, causing flooding and material damage in some cities.
In the north of the country, the Puka Hospital was out of order as a result of the rains that flooded 3 floors of the building, since it has been without a roof for two days. Its roof was blown off by the wind on Wednesday evening and intervention to repair it has been impossible due to strong winds.
While the situation is also problematic in the Municipality of Shkodër, where the heavy rains have created problems in the road segment Prekal - Kir. During the night, there were large landslides on the road, which led to its blocking for vehicles.
Even in Kukës, the bad weather, with rain and strong wind during the last 24 hours, has caused a number of problems. The strong winds have left several villages of Kukës municipality without electricity, specifically in Administrative Units, Shishtavec, Topojan, Zapod, Kolsh Surroj and Malzi.
In the Municipality of Has, the Administrative Units Golaj, Gjinaj are without power. In the municipality of Tropoja, Administrative Units Lekbibaj, Bujan Llugaj, Bytyç Fierzë and Tropoja e Vjetër.
There were also problems on the Skuraj-Burrel road axis near the village of Shkopet. In some parts of this road axis, problems were created due to the fall of stones from the mountain, fortunately without causing problems to the vehicles that circulate on this axis.
In Lezha, bad weather has created problems mainly with electricity supply. The strong wind has damaged the lines in some areas and has left some villages without electricity in the Zadrime area, Ishull-Lezha and part of the Mata Coast.
In Bulqiza, the storm damaged the roofs of the houses and destroyed part of the roof of the Palace of Culture of Bulqiza.
In Durrës, the strong wind knocked down trees, one of which was in the area of the boulevard. Also, some areas in Durrës have been left without electricity as a joke of strong winds.
Even in Tirana there were problems with electricity and with trees fallen by the strong wind.
As a result of the bad weather in the Southern Adriatic, in the open sea, accompanied by waves and strong wind, the Albanian maritime authorities, in coordination with the Italian ones, have decided to cancel sailings this evening from Durrës to Bari and vice versa. Because of this strong wind, sailing continues to be suspended in Vlora and Shengjin.
As a result of bad weather with strong winds, there was a power outage in the Orikum - Dukat - Llogara areas. Meanwhile, the bad weather still continues in our territory. The intensity of the rain has increased in the afternoon, which has caused difficulties in the circulation of vehicles on some axes. In Lezha, there has been flooding in the city area.
