The creation of a Bektashi state within Tirana creates a dangerous precedent. This is how pastor Paulin Vilajeti expressed himself, who was this Sunday invited to "Review" on Euronews Albania.
He said that Prime Minister Rama will have to better clarify this project revealed for the first time in the interview for "New York Time" and then at the UN, since as he said, the Albanian public has the right to be informed.
The pastor said that he calls such a sovereign state dangerous, as this, according to him, could create precedents for other sects to seek their own state.
" I see it as something very dangerous because in this way anyone gets the right to say I also want to be a state. I also have my faith, I created my sect here in Albania and I love my country.
It is a dangerous precedent. I have been studying theology for 33 years and I know the history of not only Christianity, but many different religions. India despite having the largest number of Hindus, does not have a state to protect Hinduism.
The first thing I would ask of Prime Minister Rama would be that he should explain in detail to the Albanian public. After those 4 sentences he said at the UN, maybe we didn't understand him. I want to emphasize that Bektashism is indeed one of the most tolerant religious communities that Albania has and in the entire history of the 30 years that we have had freedom of religion, we have not had a single case of terrorism ," said Pastor Vilajeti.
